Renovated Boston building sold
Cost per square foot tops $336
By Inman News, Wednesday, June 27, 2007.The Carlyle Group recently sold a 110,005-square-foot office property in downtown Boston, Mass., for $37 million.
The property at 40 Court St. is a multitenant building in the city's financial district, purchased by Brickman Associates.
The building was 84 percent leased at the time of sale and was recently renovated at a cost of $2.5 million, which included the renewal and redecoration of its lobby. The Oceanaire Seafood Room, a high-end restaurant with 14 locations around the United States, is scheduled to open for business on the street level of 40 Court St. this fall.
