Bascom buys Waterfall Village
Plans to renovate units, add luxury amenities
By Inman News, Monday, August 13, 2007.The Bascom Group LLC on Thursday purchased the Waterfall Village apartments in Marietta, Ga., for an undisclosed price.
A private Atlanta investor sold the community at 1717 Waterfall Village Drive, which features 152 units across seven two- and three-story buildings. The property was constructed in 1973 and is situated on more than 9.3 acres. Common-area amenities at the property include a laundry facility, playground, and a grilling and picnic area.
Bascom plans to complete a renovation to the property that will include improvements and upgrades to the leasing center and other public amenities. Bascom will also be adding a fitness center and new swimming pool. Interior improvements will include upgraded carpeting, flooring, counter re-surfacing, upgraded fixtures, and new paint when units turn.
