Baer Supply buys longtime headquarters

Baer Supply Co., a wholesale distributor to the woodworking industry, has purchased the corporate headquarters it has leased for several years north of Chicago for an undisclosed amount.

The building, which totals 122,500 square feet, is located at 909 Forest Edge Drive in Vernon Hills, Ill.

The seller's identity was not disclosed.

Baer, which distributes decorative and functional hardware, fittings, tools, shop supplies, surfacing materials, and board and panel products, plans an expansion at this location. The building sits on a 7.26-acre site in the Corporate Woods Business Park and includes roughly 25,000 square feet of office space in addition to some 97,000 square feet of warehouse space.
