$25 million retail sale spans two states
Iowa-based supermarket occupies both sites
By Inman News, Thursday, August 23, 2007.Upside Investments Inc. recently paid more than $25 million for two retail properties located in Missouri and Nebraska as part of the upleg of its 1031 exchange.
Upside, which purchased the assets as investments, plans to hold the properties long term.
An unidentified, private real estate investment company sold both facilities, which are located at 5150 Center St. in Omaha, Neb., and 3870 Highway D in Osage Beach, Mo.
Each site is the location of a Hy-Vee brand grocery store and gas station. The grocery brand has expanded throughout the Midwest since its conception in 1930 and is now one of the top 15 supermarket chains in the nation, according to a press statement.
