REIT picks up leasehold interest in D.C. property
Deal valued at $73.5 million
By Inman News, Wednesday, December 5, 2007.Washington Real Estate Investment Trust has acquired the leasehold interest for a class A office building in Washington, D.C., for $73.5 million, the company said today.
The property, 2000 M Street, NW, is an eight-story, class A office building with a three-level parking garage.
The property was fully occupied by 21 tenants at the time of the transaction and it includes 227,000 net rentable square feet and 375 parking spaces.
Washington Real Estate Investment Trust is a self-administered and self-managed equity real estate investment trust focused on the greater Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area.
