DHL leases distribution space
Will share Seattle-area property with General Electric
By Inman News, Thursday, December 20, 2007.AMB Property Corp. this week announced it has leased 491,000 square feet of distribution space in Auburn, Wash., to DHL Exel Supply Chain (DESC).
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
The space, located at AMB Valley Distribution Center, will serve as Exel's new West Coast regional distribution hub supporting its business in the region. The property is located near major highways and is well-positioned between the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, which have experienced a combined 9 percent annual container cargo growth in the last five years, according to a press statement.
With the 491,000-square-foot agreement and General Electric's previously announced lease of 260,000 square feet, the facility is now fully leased.
