Zillow to get half a million property listings
Inks deals with Prudential California, NCI
By Inman News, Wednesday, January 9, 2008.Zillow.com today announced partnerships with brokerage Prudential California/Nevada/Texas Realty and real estate publisher Network Communications Inc. in which more than 500,000 for-sale home listings will be fed daily to its site.
The agreement to feed listings through the Zillow Listings Feed program aims to boost marketing exposure for those properties listed for sale with Prudential CA/NV/TX and NCI, and for NCI's advertisers. According to Zillow, approximately 4 million people visit Zillow.com every month, with 70 percent buying or selling now, or planning to in the next 1-2 years.
The Zillow Listings Feed program allows brokerages and other listing publishers to post for-sale listings directly to the site in a bulk feed, giving the homes a virtual for-sale sign for free on Zillow.com. When a home shopper requests more information on a Prudential or NCI property listing on Zillow.com, his or her inquiry will be directed back to prurealty.com or NCI's advertiser, respectively.
Under the agreements, Prudential CA/NV/TX will feed approximately 3,500 property listings daily to Zillow.com, and NCI will feed 500,000. Among NCI's top real estate brands feeding listings will be The Real Estate Book, New Home Finder, New Home Journal, New Homes & Ideas, and Unique Homes.
