Overnight interest rates hold steady
30-year fixed rate at 5.62%; 10-year Treasury yield at 3.51%

Long-term mortgage interest rates remained about the same on Monday from the previous day, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield increased slightly to 3.51 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average was unchanged at 5.62 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate slipped slightly to 5.2 percent. Meanwhile, the 1-year adjustable rate also slipped slightly to 5.69 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield was up at 4.35 percent.
Rates and bonds are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 23.36 points, or 0.19 percent, finishing at 12,302.06. The Nasdaq lost 14.42 points, or 0.63 percent, closing at 2,275.82.
