CEO, Roost

Alex and his co-founder Alex Lange (“A1” and “Double A”) launched the beta version of Roost in January of 2008 with a dual mission of providing REALTORS® an open and highly accountable, performance based marketing platform – as well as providing consumers comprehensive & accurate real estate search they can trust.  Roost has since expanded to over 40 major metros across the US and formed partnerships with over 100 brokerages across the country. Roost is very proud to have been selected the 2008 Inman Award Winner for Most Innovative New Technology.

Prior to founding Roost, Alex served as SVP of Technology & Operations of TotalMove, Inc., a free service that supports homebuyers through every step of the moving and real estate process. Before joining TotalMove, Alex was Senior Director of Services for Walmart.com, where he oversaw all consumer service business units. In 1997, Alex co-founded GetawayZone, an online vacation rental marketplace, which merged with VacationSpot and was acquired by Expedia in 2000.

As a homeowner, amateur real estate investor and home-browsing enthusiast, Alex is personally vested in creating an easier way for people to search, browse and discover their perfect home.

Alex holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business.  He is a recovering golf addict, and the proud father of 2.
