Jill Harnick
Executive VP, Chief Brand Officer, Prudential Douglas Elliman
Jill Harnick brings a diverse marketing and communications background to Prudential Douglas Elliman, where she was welcomed as Executive Vice President in charge of Brand Management earlier this year. Harnick hails from Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association, College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF), where she was Vice President of Brand Management and then Vice President of Institutional Marketing. In both positions she helped strengthen the brand’s image among it’s core consumers and also expanded awareness of the brand. .
In her role at TIAA-CREF, Harnick oversaw mixed aspects of marketing and communications for the 90-year old company, including brand management for the Fortune 100 financial services firm with over $400 billion in assets under management. Under her leadership, the company launched a successful multi-million dollar national television, radio, print and Internet ad campaign to increase its brand presence in the marketplace.
Prior to TIAA-CREF, Harnick was with Medco Health, the pharmacy benefits manager for pharmaceutical juggernaut Merck. Her marketing leadership helped launch the company’s new Medicare prescription program and created a tiered corporate marketing and sales strategy to accommodate client requirements regarding branding, co-branding and private label offerings. She was on the communications team that helped rebrand the company to take it public in a successful IPO.
Before Medco, she had spent nine years with Wellman Inc., an international textile, chemical and recycling industry supplier, managing advertising and marketing communications. Harnick began her illustrious career in marketing at the healthcare subsidiary of Grey Healthcare.
Since joining PDE with the charge of spearheading the firm’s branding initiatives, Harnick has helped increase and focus the firm’s digital marketing efforts. Harnick has been instrumental in developing a program to optimize the company’s online advertising presence and create a highly- targeted approach that has helped PDE increase web traffic and connect with buyers and sellers more effectively than ever before.
