Bob Bemis
CEO, Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service
Bob Bemis joined ARMLS as CEO in October, 2007, and immediately began an aggressive program of expanding the product options and raising the quality of customer service and support offered to ARMLS’s 30,000 REALTORS®. He has concentrated on reinforcing infrastructure, including a new core MLS system delivered in July 2008 and a redesigned ARMLS.com website with self-service customer management due in spring ’09. He has opened dialogs with other Arizona MLSs about data sharing and system interconnectivity. Bemis is a regular participant on national panels and forums dealing with real estate issues and serves on the National Association of REALTORS® MLS Issues and Policies Committee.
Prior to ARMLS, Bemis was Vice President of Customer Care for MRIS, in Washington DC/Baltimore. There, he had oversight of four customer-facing departments: Marketing/Customer Relations, Helpdesk, Education, and Customer Satisfaction. These groups served the needs of MRIS’s over 60,000 real estate professionals in portions of five states, making MRIS the largest MLS in the country.
Before joining MRIS, Mr. Bemis was Director of Marketing and Product Management for Interealty Inc. a leading provider of information technologies and MLS systems to the real estate industry. Past career positions include five years as the Director of Information Services for the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service, and two years as a real estate sales agent with Coldwell Banker in Glenview, Illinois. Prior to real estate he spent 20 years in the television broadcasting and production industries and counts among his accomplishments a regional Emmy award for excellence in television directing. Mr. Bemis is a 1969 graduate of The Ohio State University, with a BA degree in Speech and Communications, with minors in Mathematics and English
