Steve Edwards’ multi-disciplinary experience as a software engineer over the last 12 years has included work in the areas of enterprise class utility company management software, climatology data storage and retrieval, text classification systems and computer operations on board a US Navy ship. In his current position as a Senior Software Engineer for Silicon Valley start-up Education.com, he is responsible for website development, infrastructure architecture, scalability and performance. Steve has lead several projects in his two years at the company, including database load balancing, memcache implementation, and renovating and deploying the code base for Education.com’s SchoolFinder application. Steve lives in Redwood City. He enjoys refurbishing motorcycles and finding ways to make web development easier.
