Re: 'Wrong about lockboxes, prepayment penalties' (May 31)

Dear Editor:

Wow! So the most important function of a listing agent is to be a hostess -- and that qualifies as providing "full-service" vs. a discount broker?

So all this money and time I'm spending on Web sites, videos, interactive floor plans, marketing, more marketing, and even more marketing, plus all the attention I give my sellers with updated market reports -- oh, yes, and hours spent talking with showing agents and providing immediate feedback reports -- I can dump all that and just "show up" for every showing? Maybe, I should bring cookies and then I'd be a super-duper listing agent!
