Uproar over merging MLSs

Dear Editor:
Having a statewide MLS system is just more bureaucratic nonsense we will have to deal with. There is not much in the way of accountability now with the local MLS systems so I can just see what a mess it will be in the future. Our local MLS is pushing hard to merge with others, but the members have different ideas and are being very vocal in their dissent. One more time ... real estate is local. We don't need a state MLS.
This isn't about saving money for agents or making a better system; it's about making it easier for outside business models to get data from the various local MLS associations.
