NAR Code of Ethics to include sexual orientation
Letter to the Editor
By Inman News, Friday, May 28, 2010.Re: Building a brand in gay real estate (May 17)
Dear Editor:
After reading your article about the gay real estate niche, I would like to inform you about the National Association of Gay & Lesbian Real Estate Professionals, NAGLREP, and our extensive work with NAR's Equal Opportunity-Cultural Diversity Committee to help amend the NAR Code of Ethics to include sexual orientation (as a protected class).
The proposal was approved by NAR's board of directors during the NAR Midyear meeting in Washington, D.C., and will go before NAR's delegate body for final approval in November during the annual meeting in New Orleans. See a video of the historic vote at naglrep.com.
