Web trends: Who's keeping track?
Brokers, agents get savvy about who's searching real estate online
With some three-quarters of real estate consumers going online to look for property listings, neighborhood information, home buying and selling advice and tips on how to choose a Realtor, it's become crucial for real estate businesses to gain a sense of where people are going, what they are looking for and what kinds of information they are contributing to online forums and review sites.
In this three-part report, Inman News looks at various aspects of tracking online real estate trends. We take a bird's-eye look at what the major analytics companies say are the most highly trafficked sites and other consumer behavior, and we also zero in on what brokers and agents are tracking with various analytics services and how they are using that information to make important business decisions.
And as the growth of user-generated content continues at blogs and other Web sites that enable users to rate their Realtors, more industry folks have figured out the importance of tracking their online reputations.
