The mayor of Hoboken, N.J., says two key staffers for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told her that her city was more likely to get Superstorm Sandy relief funds if she supported a commercial redevelopment plan by the Rockefeller Group for a three-block stretch of north Hoboken that included a 40-story office tower.
The Rockefeller Group employed former Christie cabinet officer Lori Grifa as a lobbyist for the project, and the company’s firm is Wolff & Samson, co-founded by Port Authority Chairman David Samson, the New York Daily News’ Larry McShane reports.
