Chinese investors poured into the U.S. market in 2013, and that’s not likely to stop anytime soon, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Last year, Chinese investors made $7.6 billion in commercial property investments outside the mainland, many of them in the U.S., and this year that number is set to surpass $10 billion, according to one property consultancy.
Among other high-profile U.S. purchases last year, Chinese investors bought the Chase Manhattan Plaza in New York for $725 million and paid $1 billion for a piece of land in Los Angeles, WSJ said.
