Revolv aggregates smartphone apps into one platform creating a “unified smart home” that eliminates the first-world inconvenience of having to juggle a group of disparate smart-home devices, TechCrunch reports.
Revolv, which costs $299, also lets users tie smart app functions together. For example, a user may program the app to lock his front door and turn down the thermostat after he is 100 yards away from a home, according to TechCrunch.
“It’s akin to the formation of ‘The Avengers,’ ” TechCrunch writes of the app. ” Separate, all your devices are like superheroes that can stand their own. Together they can take on thousands of aliens dumping out of a wormhole in the sky.”
