The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) has sent an alert to its 24,000 members, warning about scammers who placed a bogus rental listing on Craigslist based on a real ad taken out by a HAR member. Zillow was recently used as the vehicle for an even more sophisticated scam in which the perpetrator pretended to be the agent representing a rental property in Pennsylvania. Source: abclocal.go.com.
