With the addition of a net 15,000 agents across its network in 2013, Keller Williams Realty reported during its annual convention that more than 95,000 agents now work for the Austin, Texas-based global franchisor.
In addition to the agent-count news, the franchisor reported that over the course of 2013 transactions were up nearly 20 percent to 644,000 units, sales were up nearly 30 percent to $158 billion, and commissions were up 30 percent to $4.2 billion from 2012.
Keller Williams, which has franchise agreements in Austria, Germany, Indonesia, Southern Africa, Switzerland, Turkey and Vietnam, claimed the North American agent count throne in September with a net addition of 12,000 agents. The franchisor also announced plans to open offices in Dubai in 2014 during the convention.
