To find its new CEO, the newly merged Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors (ACAR) reportedly conducted a nationwide search. But in the end, the Ohio trade group chose to go with someone many of its members know well: Sandy Naragon, who was the Akron Area Board of Realtors’ CEO for 15 years. Naragon has served as co-CEO since the merger of AABOR and the Cleveland Area Board of Realtors last month.

Seth Task, ACAR’s president, said Naragon “is a proven industry leader at the state and national level.”

Naragon’s first act as CEO was to name co-CEO Mike Valerino as chief operating officer of the 4,500-member organization.
