President Obama has nominated the current head of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Shaun Donovan, to head up the White House budget office and has tapped San Antonio’s Democratic mayor, Julian Castro, to replace him.

Castro, 39, would become one of the highest-ranking Hispanic officials in government if confirmed by the Senate, the Associated Press reported.
