Survey shows consumers bullish on housing, skeptical about recovery

More than one in three homeowners and renters surveyed by Fannie Mae in March said it’s a good time to sell, up from about one in four at the same time last year. Sixty-nine percent said it’s a good time to buy, and more than half (52 percent) said it would be easy to get a mortgage, up from 47 percent last year.  While just 12 percent of those surveyed said they expected their financial situation to worsen during the next 12 months, only 33 percent think the economy is on the right track.
