Toledo lost almost half its Realtors in the downturn. Are they ever coming back?

The Toledo Board of Realtors had more than 2,000 members before the bottom fell out of the housing market. Today membership is slowly climbing back from a post-recession trough of around 1,100, as interest in a career in real estate grows, board President John Magnas, broker-partner at Re/​Max Preferred Associates of Toledo, tells the Toledo Blade.

Local brokers are recruiting agents using social media and their own websites, career nights, or referrals from agents. Some are even recruiting past clients, the Blade reports. As of Monday, membership totaled 1,209 agents. Source:
