TripAdvisor may have pulled the plug on plans for a $50 million national TV ad campaign after testing ads in several markets this summer, Investor’s Business Daily reports, citing a Cowen & Co. report that notes testing wrapped up in July.
The ad campaign was supposed to support the launch of TripAdvisor’s “metasearch” platform, which uses a price search tool and allows users to book hotel rooms and make other travel arrangements directly.
