What you should know

I believe original content is the most compelling way for real estate agents to separate themselves from competitors online.

However, its creation and cost can be tall hurdles for some agents to get over.

If that’s the case for you, Back At You Media offers a very nice balance of commercialized Facebook content and proactive publishing tactics.

The company has ready a month’s worth of content for you, localized and scheduled, a few minutes after your account is live.

The product also uses your local MLS ID to generate a host of attractive, customized listing posts.

Posts can include links to landing and individual listing pages, which I’m a big fan of using. Open house and “new listing” banners can also be toggled on or off.

Users can choose to stand aside and let the system run on their behalf or add some unique verbiage and strategic scheduling to each post. The flexibility is really advantageous.

Back At You Media is admittedly not pretending to be a CRM, which I see as a good thing. It does keep a record of interested shoppers via landing page forms and Facebook click-throughs.

There’s a cool feature that includes the public home ownership records of a person who’s indicated they may be interested in selling via your landing page’s “home value request” form. The information and images are included in the lead record.

The Facebook boost and ad campaign features are all here and nicely compartmentalized within the clean, intuitive interface. And, like other third-party campaign builders I’ve seen, Back At You Media’s ad set-up and management features are easier to use than the originator’s.

While the company’s provided content is localized, it’s not wholly original. A fellow Back At You Media customer in the same market might very well be seen using the same post.

The Los Angeles-based company explained to me that the publishing algorithms are set to ensure they won’t run at the same time. I’ll accept that, but still don’t love it.

Granted, since it’s localized content being hand-curated by the company’s in-office staff, it’s much more valuable than the off-the-shelf digital detritus offered by many commercial content providers.

In addition to market statistics and tables, Back At You Media also provides video content, which we just can’t seem to get enough of these days.

The software’s main navigation bar runs along the left margin and links to tools for viewing and managing post scheduling, listings, leads, landing page designs and content analytics.

In addition to all content being mobile-optimized, Back At You Media offers agents a fast, intelligent way to build a reputable online presence.

To recap, in this solution we have lead gen, automated Facebook content, listing pages and even a broker version that enables the assignment and oversight of content per agent, per office. Nice. They also have more than 34,000 people on the platform.

If these are tools and tactics you think can help make that last push toward your 2017 goals, give these guys a ring.

They should get back at you soon.
