Fear and faith duke it out every day. I’ll choose faith every time. In fact, I’m notorious for only being able to get 65 percent of the way there with logic, and the rest is a massive leap of faith. We’re meant to create and take risks.

I prefer the word creativity over success because I believe it’s our purpose on this earth to create. Success typically has a money connotation to it — I’m not driven by money; I’m driven by an inner need to succeed on my own terms.

When it comes to creating, it’s my firm belief that our purpose in life is to create something that is matched with purpose — which creates impact. What you create, that’s up to you.

Maybe you want to create wealth, a family or a painting. That’s all you. What matters is that we have a strong message and a defined purpose in our creating.

Sometimes, in our creating, it gets scary. Friends, there’s no time for fear. When you’re in the grind, moving forward, you have no choice but to keep working. Self-doubt, fear and insecurity will only inhibit forward movement, and you can’t afford that.

I have an equation for success that I’d like to share with you:

Possibility + Risk + Commitment = Success (or creativity)

In its purest form, possibility is anything that we believe we can achieve. What does that mean for you? Whatever it is, aim higher. Increase your bandwidth when it comes dreaming.

Next comes risk — being willing to risk creature comforts and, often, another person’s opinion of you. The final part of the equation is commitment. Do the same thing, repeatedly.

Speaking of commitment, I’m incredibly committed to action. Consistent, inspired action. I want to remain a student of life. Learn, and apply. Rinse, and repeat.

Keep your eye on the ball, and ultimately, you’ll make an impact. If you’re searching for a more impactful way to do business, check out this podcast.
