Here are some of the coolest products to be featured at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 — all will be hitting the shelves in the coming months.

From smart ovens and wall displays to video doorbells, this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is focusing heavily on the latest smart home tech.

Smart home technology, or home appliance devices that connect to a person’s phone, is a growing, with 40 percent of agents saying it helps them sell faster and with less convincing.

Here are some of the coolest products to be featured at CES — all expected to hit shelves in the coming months.

Arlo Security System

Arlo.

Along with major players like Ring and Nest, home security company Arlo has also released its latest smart home protection system. While video doorbells and smart cameras are now commonplace, Arlo’s product introduces a way for homeowners to receive alarms about carbon monoxide, water leaks and temperature changes through an app or virtual voice assistant.

The product will be available for order in the second half of 2019.

Trifo Ironpie Smart Vacuum

Trifo.

While robot vacuums like the Roomba have been on the market for years, Trifo is launching the Ironpie — a circular vacuum that moves around the house on its own and can be stopped and started through an app or a virtual voice assistant. (If you want to monitor just how clean your carpets are getting, the vacuum also comes with a pre-installed camera.)

Expect the smart vacuum to hit the shelves in the first half of 2019.

U by Moen Smart Shower

U By Moen.

We’ve all sung in the shower but, with the latest smart home technology, you’ll also be able to talk. The new U by Moen Smart Shower connects with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri so that you can turn on and off the water, adjust the heat and change water pressure all without touching a switch.

While pricing has not yet been announced, this will be one of the first showers equiped with voice command technology to hit the market – and, as a result, will likely not come cheap.

Leviton Decora Voice Dimmer Switch

Leviton.

If your home has multiple smart lights, Leviton’s new Decora Voice Dimmer Switch may be for you – the light control gadget lets you dim or brighten lamps, synchronize lighting and pre-set lights in different rooms around the house through a single app like the My Leviton on Android and iOS your regular Alexa device.

The switch, whose price has not yet been announced, will hit the market in the summer of 2019.

Daikin One+ Thermostat

Daikin.

Air conditioner brand Daikin announced its new thermostat, the Daikin One+. Its coolest feature is, perhaps, the georeferencing — you can program it in a way that has it automatically switching to a different temperature as soon as you leave your home.

Still, you’ll have to wait a while if you want one in your home – neither pricing nor availability have yet been provided.

Schlage Encode Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt

Schlage.

At the latest CES, Amazon has pushed hard for Key by Amazon, the company’s new remote home-locking system. The Schlage Encode Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt is one of the products that uses this technology – the smart lock connects to Wi-Fi remotely and allows homeowners to close the door through a phone or a virtual voice assistant.

The product costs $250 and will be available for shipping on March 5.

Ring Door View Cam

Ring.

Ring, the smart home security acquired by Amazon last year, has released a number of updated doorbells, smart sensors, and home lights. Still, its coolest new product has got to be the Door View Cam — a video doorbell meant to cover the peephole and provide both a physical and electronic view through a front door.

Like Ring’s other products, the Door View Cam offers a view of one’s porch through the app and sends out alerts after detecting motion in its area. The key difference, however, is the ability to look out yourself. The new gadget will cost $199 and be available at a yet-to-be-announced date in 2019.

KitchenAid Smart Oven+

KitchenAid.

For the foodies, there’s the KitchenAid’s Smart Oven+ — a convention oven with the latest high-tech features.

Along with three racks and additional attachments for baking and steaming, the smart oven syncs with the KitchenAid and Yummly apps for those who like to control the cooking process from a phone, be it by setting a timer and temperature or checking the remaining cooking time.

The oven officially launch later this year.

GE Kitchen Smart Display

GE.

For those who like to cook, there’s more smart home technology options in the kitchen.

The GE kitchen display, which was first teased at last year’s CES, is now ready to hit the shelves. The 27-inch touchscreen is designed to hang above one’s countertop. The display can feature recipes and grocery lists or run movies or your favorite cooking shows on Netflix.

The smart display costs between $1,200 and $1,400 and will be available for shipping in May 2019.

The Latest Devices To Add To Apple’s HomeKit

Wemo.

While Apple has generally bypassed CES events, it made its presence known this year by announcing several products that connect and sync with its HomeKit.

These include ConnectSet power outlets that track each device’s energy consumption, Wemo’s smart light switches and Kwikset’s smart locks. The idea is that, by connecting each device to Apple’s Home app, homeowners will be able to control multiple areas of the house from a single app.

LifeShield Video Doorbell

LifeShield

While there’s no shortage of video doorbells on the market, one home electronics company wants to show that it has more options than giants like Ring and Nest.

The LifeShield Doorbell Camera, which will be available for sale in the second quarter of 2019 for a yet-to-be-announced price, will feature 1080p night-vision camera, a two-way communication microphone, cloud storage and a sensor that distinguishes between motion (for example, a tree branch or an animal) and actual visitors.

Whirlpool Laundry App

Whirlpool.

The king of washers and driers is going digital.

Launching at some point later this year, the Whirlpool Laundry App will feature a tool for programming cycles, a laundry day tracking system, and an easy-to-access online guide for how to treat different types of garments and stains. The app will also sync with Whirpool’s smart laundry appliances, connect to devices like the Apple Watch, and synch to voice command devices through the Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant.

Kasa Indoor And Outdoor Security Cameras

TP-Link.

TP-Link left its mark at the CES by launching indoor and outdoor Kasa security cameras simultaneously. Powered by rechargeable batteries and night vision, the cameras provide a view of one’s home through an app along with alarm features that allow one to call for help in case of a disturbance.

Prices and the exact date of launch have not yet been released.

Ring’s Latest Smart Lights

Ring.

Lights that turn on and off through one’s phone or virtual voice assistant is one of the most popular trends in smart home technology.

This year, Ring launched eight new lighting products and accessories — the Ring Floodlight ($69.99) for overhead lighting and the Ring Transformer ($99.99) for turning regular lights into ones that sync with a phone.

These products are already available for pre-order and will ship out on March 6.
