The Account Manager & Strategist will play a key role in our effort to deliver best-in-class advertising and sponsorship opportunities across all of our platforms. They will be integral in both the pre-sale and post-sale processes—working with internal partners and clients to identify objectives and develop concepts and then executing high quality branded content and sponsorship offerings that engage customers online and at Inman events.

This role reports to the VP, Sales, while working directly with our event, advertising, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate, build and execute concepts/content strategies that achieve client objectives
  • Build mocks and pitchdecks that effectively communicate the proposed concepts
  • Serve as Inman Content Studio representative in pre-sale client meetings
  • Be the point person at Inman for sponsor questions about working with Inman
  • Help create custom branded content and sponsorship executions
  • Manage and fulfill advertising and sponsor deliverables
  • Lead team in tying project execution back to the client’s objectives and creative brief
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing & events to determine if client goals were met
  • Maintain pricing and inventory standards across plans
  • Adhere to best business processes to ensure optimal program performance

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • 2+ years of digital media or agency experience
  • Experience working in offline events a plus
  • Domain (real estate media) experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work face-to-face with clients and their teams
  • Extensive knowledge of branded content landscape
  • Ability to write clearly and without jargon
  • Avid consumer of media, of all types
  • Open to and excited by entrepreneurial environments
  • Thick skin and a true self-starter who can act decisively in complex environments
  • Brings energy and passion to everything they do
  • Willingness to roll-up his/her sleeves to tackle projects both big and small
