Job Description

The event coordinator (contract position) will be a key player in executing all aspects of our Inman Connect New York event. This person will help maintain the event website, manage speaker content details, manage vendor orders, create timelines, assist in planning evening events and help research and implement attendee traffic driving activities throughout the conference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and edit sessions on event website
  • Collect and maintain detailed speaker contact spreadsheets
  • Create online speaker profiles
  • Help develop and maintain event deliverables timeline
  • Assistance with vendor orders and invoicing
  • Assist with party planning at offsite venues
  • Research unique conference traffic drivers and activities
  • Attend Inman Connect New York 2018 to help execute the event onsite
  • Create PPT templates

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • 1-2 years of experience planning parties, events, meetings, conferences or tradeshows
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus
  • Extremely organized and attention to detail
  • Willingness to roll-up sleeves to help execute event programs
  • Enthusiasm for fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
