Molly Bloom

Molly Bloom is an inspirational keynote speaker, entrepreneur, and bestselling author of Molly’s Game. She is best known for her memoir, Molly’s Game, which was adapted into an award-winning film of the same name by Aaron Sorkin. Bloom’s memoir chronicles her journey from college student to LA waitress to building and operating the largest and most notorious private poker game in the world. Her games featured hundreds of millions of dollars and players like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, A-Rod, and Ben Affleck.

Bloom began her career as a world-class skier. While training as a pre-teen she was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and had to undergo surgery that the doctors said would end her athletic career. A year later, fully recovered, she was back on the slopes. She later joined the U.S. Ski Team and at 21 years old was ranked No. 3 in North America in moguls, but her Olympic dreams would go unrealized as she left the team to pursue other projects. This led her to what she thought would be a year sabbatical in LA.

Bloom was finishing her degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado – Boulder, and was in the process of applying to top tier Law Schools, when her assistant job turned her into an accidental entrepreneur, running one of  the most exclusive, high-stakes underground poker games in the world, pulling in as much as $4 million per year. What happened next is where her story truly begins.

The film Molly’s Game, written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, stars Jessica Chastain (as Molly), Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, Brian d’Arcy James, and Chris O’Dowd. Bloom has appeared on numerous shows and in media outlets such as Ellen, Vice, The Los Angeles Times, NPR, Vulture, and has been asked to speak at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women, for companies like Blackrock Financial, SiriusXM Radio, and will deliver the 2018 commencement speech at Colorado State University.

Manoush Zomorodi

Manoush Zomorodi is co-founder of Stable Genius Productions, a media company with a mission to help people navigate personal and global change. StableG uses podcasts as a lab to test new ways journalists can educate, entertain, and inspire through narrative.  Their first project is “ZigZag,” a podcast about changing the course of capitalism, journalism, and women’s lives.

In 2012, Zomorodi created, hosted, and was managing editor of “Note to Self,” a podcast out of WNYC Studios for “anyone trying to preserve their humanity in the digital age.” Each weekly episode examines life’s digital quandaries through experiments and conversations with experts and listeners, exploring the new questions tech has brought into our lives. Topics include information overload, digital clutter, sexting “scandals” and the eavesdropping capabilities of our gadgets. The podcast received wide acclaim, including being named Best Tech Podcast of 2017 by the Academy of Podcasters. In 2019 “Note to Self” moved to Luminary Podcasts with a season of new episodes.

In 2015, Zomorodi led tens of thousands of listeners through an experiment to help them unplug from their devices, get bored, jump-start their creativity, and change their lives. Her book Bored and Brilliant: How Spacing Out Can Unlock Your Most Productive and Creative Self builds on that experiment to demonstrate how to rethink our gadget use to live better and smarter in this new digital ecosystem. Zomorodi explains the connection between boredom and original thinking, exploring how we can harness boredom’s hidden benefits to become our most productive and creative selves without totally abandoning our gadgets in the process. Grounding the book in the neuroscience and cognitive psychology of “mind wandering,” she illuminates what our brains do when we’re doing nothing at all.

In 2017, Zomorodi and “Note to Self” launched “The Privacy Paradox” a five-part plan to help people take back control over their digital identity. Tens of thousands of listeners have completed the five-part plan so far, which Fast Company calls Zomorodi’s “challenge to us to stick up for our internet rights.”

Through her career, Manoush Zomorodi won numerous awards, including The Gracie in 2014 and 2018 for Best Radio Host. She is especially proud of the Webby her team won in 2018 for The Privacy Paradox. Glenn Sanford

In his fourth year in real estate with a major national franchisor, his team closed more than $60 million in real estate by connecting with consumers online, and Glenn was a significant contributor to the franchisor’s internet lead generation program.

Glenn believed that agents and brokers do the heavy lifting in real estate and deserve benefits of being a shareholder in their company and income based on the level of their contribution. In early 2007, Glenn launched BuyerTours Realty, LLC, a combination of web and traditional bricks-and-mortar offices. During the economic downturn in 2008, Glenn had an idea for how to save overhead costs associated with owning a brick-and-mortar brokerage and give agents the opportunity to be shareholders in their company. In October 2009, eXp Realty, LLC launched as the first cloud-based, national real estate brokerage. eXp Realty’s virtual office environment compared to the traditional real estate office allows agents to collaborate and learn together, no matter where they might be located.

In 2013, Glenn took eXp Realty’s holding company, eXp World Holdings, public and in May 2018 moved the company’s listing to the Nasdaq Stock Exchange (NASDAQ: EXPI).

We're proud to have assembled a group of agents who can bring more to the table than just "opening doors" for you. In today's competitive environment, you need an agent that is extremely knowledgeable of the neighborhood that you're searching in and will be a pitbull for you when it's time.

When it comes to selling homes in a high dollar market like San Diego (really... any market), our tailored marketing approach has proved over and over again to be the best option for our clients. It's not enough anymore to take some cell phone photos and pray for the best. To be successful in today's market, your listing agent should be embracing all of the new age technologies like 3d tours, aerial drone videos, and aggressive online marketing techniques.

I have made it a professional goal to be seen as a leader in the Real Estate industry, not just here in San Diego... but across the country as well. In working toward that goal, I have spent a lot of additional time creating a library of blogs (link:  Medium.com library ) and videos (link:  YouTube ) that answer questions, and shed insight, about our industry. I have also had the opportunity for my work to be featured on sites like Inman.com, the San Diego Union Tribune, the Zumper Real Estate Blog, and more.

At the DOJ, he worked closely with Antitrust Division economists evaluating antitrust compliance issues, litigating antitrust enforcement actions and shaping competition policy in a wide variety of industries, including payments, music, live entertainment, movies, publishing, newspapers, television, radio, sports and real estate.

During his 18 years with the Antitrust Division, Mr. Kully served in central roles on many of the Antitrust Division’s most significant matters, achieving a consistent track record of success. He and his team investigated and successfully litigated three of the most prominent government antitrust enforcement actions in the past decade: cases challenging an e-books price fixing conspiracy, credit card “anti-steering” rules and a merger of appliance manufacturers. For his work on both the credit card matter and the e-books matter, Mr. Kully and his teams were honored with the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service, the DOJ’s second-highest performance award. In addition to those high-profile cases, he also supervised and participated in major matters that did not involve litigation, including investigations into mergers or other anticompetitive conduct in the music, live entertainment, newspaper, broadcast television, radio, book publishing and movie theater industries.

Before joining the DOJ, Mr. Kully was in private practice at the Washington, D.C., office of a large international law firm and, from there, was recruited to participate as counsel in a special investigation conducted by the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee into campaign finance irregularities that arose during the 1996 federal election cycle.

As a franchise organization, JPAR is operating in 6 states with goals to be in all 50 states by 2023. Linnette Edwards

Linnette Edwards is a top 1% producer, Broker Associate and Co-Founder of Abio Properties with 19 years in the industry. She is adamant that her success and the success of Abio, comes down to a few simple things: Respect the people you work with, focus on keeping clients happy, and think outside the box. These ideals are what led Linnette and co-founder, Cameron Platt to launch Abio Properties in 2016.

Linnette had worked for other real estate firms but always dreamt of building a special agency with an amazing culture, agents, technology, and a clear focus on buyers and sellers. That’s what she and Cameron have crafted with Abio – an innovative boutique agency with a positive outlook, a collaborative spirit, and a promise of transparency. In fact, the name is inspired by the Spanish word abierto, which means “open,” because openness is a founding Abio principal.

“We knew that our clients and our work as a whole would benefit from an agency culture that embraced the transparency, collaboration and innovation that each of us really valued,” Linnette points out. “So we set out to build Abio – along with the tools to enable it – for ourselves and for agents who ‘get it.’”

Cameron has this to say about her, “Linnette will raise your standards.”

Linnette’s clients drive her to be a better real estate broker every day, and she works to insure they’re taken care of and always get the best results. Linnette believes that while a deal may close, the relationship always stays open. Abierto!

Under Chris’s leadership, Climb has become the fastest-growing boutique brokerage representing some of the finest properties in the city.

Inspired by his father’s custom home construction company and his mother’s independent real estate practice, Chris draws from these early influences to create a highly nimble and creative agency committed to superior service and innovation. Chris began his real estate career in 2002, quickly becoming recognized as one of the top producing agents in the SOMA and South Beach areas, a distinction he maintained until stepping back from full-time sales in March of 2010 to create a new real estate brokerage. Prior to that, Chris worked in finance at both Merrill Lynch and Fuji Securities. At Grey Advertising, he built brand and digital marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies.

His clients routinely cite Chris’s unique ability to work well with all parties involved–buyer, seller, landlord, developer–and to identify with their individual needs. At Climb, he has brought together a closely integrated team of knowledgeable, experienced and reputable brokers and agents who share his vision and dedication.

Recognized by the Asian Real Estate Association, the Chinese Real Estate Association, Inman News, and the San Francisco Chronicle, Chris Lim’s combination of real estate prowess, marketing instinct, and design aesthetic brings a fresh point of view to the industry. Chris has established himself as a singularly original voice in the world of residential real estate.

Chris is a native of Northern New Jersey and graduated with honors from the University of Richmond. An avid world traveler, his passport is stamped from Africa to Australia and Europe to Asia as he searches for design inspiration and the perfect lobster roll. His future travel plans include completing the tennis Grand Slam by visiting each tournament site in the same year: Melbourne, Paris, London, and New York. When not circling the globe, Chris divides his time between San Francisco and north Lake Tahoe.

James Rembert

James Rembert, founder of Digital Natives Inc., is a talented designer and trained marketing strategist who began his journey as a licensed Realtor in New Jersey. His natural transition to marketing and advertising was birthed out of the misleading and confusing information offered to the real estate industry. This made it difficult for Realtors to generate quality leads for their real estate business. While setting out to solve the puzzle of lead generation for his own business, James was able to change the landscape of the real estate marketing industry by not only making lead generation easier to understand, but also making it accessible.

He’s since built a thriving boutique advertising agency in Philadelphia that exclusively services the real estate industry with accounts nationwide. His marketing team now manages over 150+ real estate teams and brokerage Facebook accounts all across the country.

Aligning with his core belief to help others achieve their goals, he created the wildly successful online coaching course HyperLocal Domination®. There he teaches real estate professionals step by step how to generate their own real estate leads as well as how to start their own real estate focused marketing agency from the ground up. James is truly experiencing a full circle moment and considers it a privilege to openly share with others his personal journey with the hopes it will encourage others to create their own.

David Kurz

In January 2005, David Adam Kurz arrived to the city of Miami with two things: dedication and innovation. Originally from the Bronx and an active Marine since 1994, he had just finished his final tour, and was ready to embark on a journey he claims is in its own way tougher than war—the journey of entrepreneurship.

But Kurz wasted no time. In the years to follow, he was busy operating one of the most highly respected real estate teams at Douglas Elliman, the fourth largest real estate brokerage in the United States. It was there that Kurz realized real estate is more than just a job servicing others—it’s about building professional relationships that last a lifetime.

In the summer of 2016, Kurz opened the doors to Kurz Real Estate, Corp and grew like no one had ever seen before reaching 80+ agents in his first year!  During the first year Kurz was featured in several publications for the fast growth and awarded for success.  The recipient of the Entrepreneurial Start Up of the Year for Miami, Most Innovative Marketing Award, Top 100 Most Influential Agents and finally a nomination for Most Innovative Brokerage in the country by Inman.

Kurz doesn’t just believe client connections are important in the industry: on a path and mission to better the incoming real estate generation of Miami, Kurz’s drive, innovative thinking and belief in collaborating with others led him to start his own real estate brokerage, Kurz Real Estate Corp, where he is President and a noncompeting broker and mentor to young professionals and new entrants of all ages to the industry.

David Adam Kurz works with all residential and commercial property types across South Florida. Buyers, sellers and investors have all found success working alongside David and his brokerage. His extensive network of clients and colleagues spans the globe. With more than 1,000 homes sold, he stands out as a prominent Florida real estate broker and a trusted source.  Now David is a non-competing Broker for his brokerage, Kurz Real Estate, Corp and focuses on the growth of the company and its brand.  David now runs the brokerage, coaches his real estate students, manages The Kurz Team and handles several speaking events and opportunities nationally.

Kurz’s efforts in real estate expand beyond his experience in the office. He is also a thought leader and advisor as the host of his own Real Estate Show. You can listen to him and his teams discuss the market and industry topics every Thursday at 4 p.m. on the Real Talk Show, aired on FaceBook Live @KurzRealEstate. But he continues to add even more to his marketing repertoire, acting as publisher for the company’s own Kurz Real Estate marketing management system which is live and digital online, and even co-authored a book laying out the plan that he himself follows for building a successful business called The Blueprint: Strategies for Building a Successful Real Estate Business, which was published in November 2016. With the second book, TAKE ACTION released in August of 2017.  He is most proud of Take Action because he believes it is helping agents and business owners develop the attitude needed to be in business!  Now David has his eyes and efforts set on his third book which he claims can change the mentality of a generation accustomed to failure.  You will have to wait for that one but it is expected to be released in late 2019 or early 2020.

Aside from his work in the field, David Kurz is also active in giving back to his community. He served as President for the Miami Chapter of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) for 2 years, a national non-profit with focus on veteran homeownership and veteran financial literacy. As a veteran himself, he feels obligated to give back to his peers.  With his wife Jennyffer, they launched the Kurz Kares Foundation.  The Kurz Kares Foundation is a charity designed to slow gentrification by enhancing communities for working families.

When Kurz is not working, he enjoys boating, riding his Harley Davidson, trying out new restaurants, and simply learning more about Miami and the surrounding markets. He and his amazing fiancé love to travel and focus on making that a part of their lives.  He has 4 beautiful daughters and 2 crazy pups!  He is fluent in both Spanish and English.
