Vanessa Bergmark

Vanessa is a negotiation specialist. In fact, she is certified in conflict resolution, which tends to come in handy in real estate transactions these days! She holds a California real estate license and a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State.

She fell in love with real estate when she bought her first house and decided to become an agent at a large real estate firm here in the East Bay. She became hooked on the fact that each new client, and each new property, presented a different experience.

Vanessa soon moved up the ranks to management, successfully running an office of agents and gaining connections within a corporate structure based far, far away from the East Bay.

She didn’t get hooked on that.

So in 2007, when one of Red Oak’s owners called with an offer to run their intensely local company, she was in. She and her business partner took an ownership stake in the business and the rest, really, is about what got her hooked on real estate in the first place: properties and people in the East Bay.

Vanessa resides in Oakland’s Upper Rockridge neighborhood with her husband and two young children.

Glenn Sanford

Glenn had important roles at Internet start-ups before launching a real estate career in 2002. In his fourth year in real estate with a major national franchisor, his team closed more than $60 million in real estate by connecting with consumers online, and Glenn was a significant contributor to the franchisor’s internet lead generation program.

Glenn believed that agents and brokers do the heavy lifting in real estate and deserve benefits of being a shareholder in their company and income based on the level of their contribution. In early 2007, Glenn launched BuyerTours Realty, LLC, a combination of web and traditional bricks-and-mortar offices. During the economic downturn in 2008, Glenn had an idea for how to save overhead costs associated with owning a brick-and-mortar brokerage and give agents the opportunity to be shareholders in their company. In October 2009, eXp Realty, LLC launched as the first cloud-based, national real estate brokerage. eXp Realty’s virtual office environment compared to the traditional real estate office allows agents to collaborate and learn together, no matter where they might be located.

In 2013, Glenn took eXp Realty’s holding company, eXp World Holdings, public and in May 2018 moved the company’s listing to the Nasdaq Stock Exchange (NASDAQ: EXPI).

Therese Antonelli

Therese approaches real estate not as the typical salesperson would, she views it more as a service and that is what has set her among the top Realtors in the Metro Detroit market. After spending almost a decade in the hospitality industry, she services her clients in a way that she would if serving them a 7 course meal at one of Detroit's top restaurants. A real estate experience is much like a restaurant dining experience in the fact that an agent is guiding their clients through an experience that they may not take part in everyday. She is the professional, she knows the ins and outs, she has set up the systems and procedures, and she acts as her client's "tour guide" through the whole process, from start to finish. Therese's education degree has also come in handy as she has trained over 30 agents in the past 4 years since her boutique brokerage Moving The Mitten Real Estate Group was established. She believes in training the agents the correct way, the first time. When people buy or sell real estate, they are usually dealing with one of their greatest financial investments. It is important to approach the purchase or sale of real estate in a systematic and calculated way as there is rarely room for error. Therese and her team work hard on daily basis to get top dollar for their sellers with the least amount of road-bumps along the way. Their innovative online marketing presence along with systematic procedures ensure a smooth sale for all parties involved. Therese and her team help over 400+ Metro Detroit families year after year sell and buy real estate. They treat every client like family and that's what keeps their past clients and their referrals coming back!

Anthony Askowitz

As the owner, president, and managing broker of RE/MAX Advance Realty (RMA), Anthony Askowitz directs the activities of approximately 170 real estate agents in the company's Kendall and South Miami offices. Under his leadership, RMA agents consistently outsell their competitors from the leading (and larger) Miami offices, often by wide margins. RMA is regularly included in The Real Deal South Florida’s annual ranking of the Top 10 Residential Brokerages in Miami-Dade County.

Askowitz attributes this extraordinary efficiency to the company's policy of recruiting and retaining seasoned top producers, as well as its focus on professional development/education, and teamwork. (He also credits the RE/MAX global brand and an outstanding professional staff.)

Askowitz was honored as the “Managing Broker of the Year” by Miami Agent Magazine’s 2018 Agents’ Choice Awards, and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce recognized him as the top Residential Real Estate Broker at its 2017 R.E.A.L. (Real Estate Achievers and Leaders) Awards. His success has generated frequent speaking invitations to RE/MAX network events around the nation, where Askowitz shares his knowledge and techniques.

But management success is only one area in which Askowitz distinguishes himself from his fellow Miami brokers. The Miami native is also an active and productive agent, consistently selling more than 100 homes each year and maintaining his membership in RE/MAX's "Diamond Club" (associates whose paid annual commissions total more than $1 million.)

Askowitz's position as a "non-competing selling broker" gives him a genuine understanding of the lives and challenges of working agents, and of the front lines of Miami's dynamic real estate market. Among Miami's leading offices, Askowitz is the only broker who is also an active sales associate.

Askowitz is a regular contributor to Inman News, where his monthly “Agent/Broker Perspective” column tackles both sides of hypothetical real estate situations, highlighting his expertise as both a working agent and managing broker.

Since 2009, Tim has expanded The Heyl Group from its headquarters in Austin, Texas, to the San Antonio, Dallas and Houston markets. In 2016, The Heyl Group began it's national expansion, emerging into multiple markets throughout the US simultaneously.

Over the years, Tim has personally coached hundreds of agents through his Leveraged Lead Generation program, and today that coaching lives on through his Lead Generation and ISA Coaches, providing small group and 1 on 1 coaching and training to hundreds of sales professionals each year.

Tim's business development course, The Real Estate Machine, has helped thousands of real estate agents across the globe, by providing them with the tools, systems and resources that allowed him to build a seventh-level, $100+ million business in only five years.

Tired of the same old experience people had come to detest, Tim and his partner co-founded Mint Title in 2014, giving a fresh new perspective to the real estate community and homeowners alike. Mint Title has set itself apart from other title companies by providing exceptional, customer-focused service, allowing for smooth closings and everyone's piece of mind.

In 2015, Tim set out to provide a highly-leveraged solution for agents to capture warm, qualified seller leads, and founded Phone Animal. PA has helped hundreds of agents identify and connect with thousands of home sellers all over the country.
