Vanessa is a negotiation specialist. In fact, she is certified in conflict resolution, which tends to come in handy in real estate transactions these days! She holds a California real estate license and a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State.
She fell in love with real estate when she bought her first house and decided to become an agent at a large real estate firm here in the East Bay. She became hooked on the fact that each new client, and each new property, presented a different experience.
Vanessa soon moved up the ranks to management, successfully running an office of agents and gaining connections within a corporate structure based far, far away from the East Bay.
She didn’t get hooked on that.
So in 2007, when one of Red Oak’s owners called with an offer to run their intensely local company, she was in. She and her business partner took an ownership stake in the business and the rest, really, is about what got her hooked on real estate in the first place: properties and people in the East Bay.
Vanessa resides in Oakland’s Upper Rockridge neighborhood with her husband and two young children.

Glenn had important roles at Internet start-ups before launching a real estate career in 2002. In his fourth year in real estate with a major national franchisor, his team closed more than $60 million in real estate by connecting with consumers online, and Glenn was a significant contributor to the franchisor’s internet lead generation program.
Glenn believed that agents and brokers do the heavy lifting in real estate and deserve benefits of being a shareholder in their company and income based on the level of their contribution. In early 2007, Glenn launched BuyerTours Realty, LLC, a combination of web and traditional bricks-and-mortar offices. During the economic downturn in 2008, Glenn had an idea for how to save overhead costs associated with owning a brick-and-mortar brokerage and give agents the opportunity to be shareholders in their company. In October 2009, eXp Realty, LLC launched as the first cloud-based, national real estate brokerage. eXp Realty’s virtual office environment compared to the traditional real estate office allows agents to collaborate and learn together, no matter where they might be located.
In 2013, Glenn took eXp Realty’s holding company, eXp World Holdings, public and in May 2018 moved the company’s listing to the Nasdaq Stock Exchange (NASDAQ: EXPI).
As eXp Realty’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, Scott leads the delivery of strategic agent-centric solutions that power the company’s business and rapidly growing agent base. Scott has more than 20 years of experience in delivering software and SaaS products for businesses and consumers. For more than six years, Scott has been a fixture in industry technology initiatives through his work with the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO), including leading the Web API initiative as the Chair of the Transport Workgroup. In that role, he drove agreement on a new standard that allows companies to more rapidly innovate solutions for the real estate industry.

If David Marine had a super power, it would be storytelling. The "S" emblazoned on his chest signifies his keen eye for advertising creative, which has resulted in the highest scoring advertisements in the real estate industry for 5 years running, according to AceMetrix. His blue cape is an indication of his presentation wizardry, headlining as a regular speaker at large industry events in both real estate and media. And his X-Ray vision allows him to easily see the big picture, such as developing a content and media strategy that has garnered over 60 million engagements in 2016 alone. For all this, his sidekicks, a team of 5 enthusiastic marketing professionals, have affectionately named him "King of the Office" -- that's KOTO for short.
As one whose email signature reads "Sent from the Batphone," this superhero and Star Wars aficionado's interests outside of work do sometimes cross over into his professional life. Most recently, he championed a first-of-its-kind movie partnership with 20th Century Fox on the summer blockbuster, X-Men:Apocalypse, shattering expectations and key performance indicators with over 10 million views in less than two months. And as an avid Mets superfan, his love for baseball inspired a groundbreaking media integration with Major League Baseball that has been so successful for the Coldwell Banker brand, it is now in its third season. A true marketing visionary, David Marine consistently proves his foresight, natural leadership ability and dedication to success to be unmatched.
And though his role as lead brand storyteller at Coldwell Banker is one that few others could ever fill, it is the stories shared at bedtime with his four boys that he's most proud of. At the end of the day, David goes home to Wonder Woman and his four superheroes in training, whom he's quietly grooming into Jedis.
*full disclosure: David is not a total narcissist as this bio was submitted on his behalf by one of his team members*

Therese approaches real estate not as the typical salesperson would, she views it more as a service and that is what has set her among the top Realtors in the Metro Detroit market. After spending almost a decade in the hospitality industry, she services her clients in a way that she would if serving them a 7 course meal at one of Detroit's top restaurants. A real estate experience is much like a restaurant dining experience in the fact that an agent is guiding their clients through an experience that they may not take part in everyday. She is the professional, she knows the ins and outs, she has set up the systems and procedures, and she acts as her client's "tour guide" through the whole process, from start to finish. Therese's education degree has also come in handy as she has trained over 30 agents in the past 4 years since her boutique brokerage Moving The Mitten Real Estate Group was established. She believes in training the agents the correct way, the first time. When people buy or sell real estate, they are usually dealing with one of their greatest financial investments. It is important to approach the purchase or sale of real estate in a systematic and calculated way as there is rarely room for error. Therese and her team work hard on daily basis to get top dollar for their sellers with the least amount of road-bumps along the way. Their innovative online marketing presence along with systematic procedures ensure a smooth sale for all parties involved. Therese and her team help over 400+ Metro Detroit families year after year sell and buy real estate. They treat every client like family and that's what keeps their past clients and their referrals coming back!
