Long-term mortgage interest rates were virtually unchanged Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield sank to 4.02 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average stayed at 5.29 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate decreased slightly to 4.61 percent. The 1-year adjustable was down slightly at 3.23 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield decreased to 4.9 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 94.96 points, or 0.9 percent, finishing at 10,623.62. The Nasdaq was down 5.53 points, or 0.26 percent, closing at 2,142.45.
