Wireless MLS lands in 200,000 Realtor hands

Nearly 200,000 real estate agents in several major markets now have wireless access to all local Multiple Listing Service Listings.

Retrieval Dynamics Corp. this week announced deals that provide its Mobile Listing Advantage program to agents nationwide.

MLS PIN of the greater Boston area, Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois, North Texas Real Estate Information Systems, Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches, Middle Tennessee Regional MLS and IRES of Northern Colorado all signed deals for wireless MLS.

These markets join Las Vegas, Orlando, Tampa, the greater West Palm Beach area, Tucson, Sarasota and Venice, Fla.

RDC also announced that the launches in these markets will be supported with a variety of co-marketing activities with its wireless carrier partners such as Nextel Communications, T-Mobile and Cingular Wireless. Marketing programs will include print advertising, direct mail, e-mail marketing campaigns, publicity and point-of-sale marketing materials and collateral.

The Mobile Listing Advantage program bundles together the MLA wireless MLS software with the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld from Research In Motion and network airtime plans from various wireless carriers.

The wireless MLS service enables agents to conduct one-click property searches, retrieve e-mail anytime anywhere, consolidate all their wireless devices into one, access multiple e-mail accounts, synchronize with desktop and lead management software and surf the Web.

Retrieval Dynamics Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of RDC International. The company develops programs for wireless Internet-enabled applications.
