Real estate broker sends agents to college

Prudential California Realty will develop a Real Estate Leadership Certificate program with the School of Extended Education at Saint Mary’s College. The certificate will be named “A.David Cobo Real Estate Leadership Certificate” after the company’s chairman and CEO.

 

“We expect this program will help to develop the next generation of leaders at Prudential California Realty. This is the first program in the industry that offers a tailored college-level leadership certificate program for agents that is totally separate from traditional real estate training,” said Ed Krafchow, president of Prudential California Realty.

 

Participants will be successful Prudential California Realty agents who have no more than two years of real estate experience. Participants have been nominated by their managers and hand-picked by the Krafchow to participate in the 12-month program on the St. Mary’s campus in Moraga.

 

Rebecca Prohl, professor of St. Mary’s Management Program, has tailored a program for Prudential California Realty in which participants will set a clear direction for their future development, demonstrate an ability to evaluate ethical dilemmas, make socially responsible decisions, and risk action on behalf of their beliefs and commitments.

 

“We invite participants to examine their own leadership potential and identify ways in which they can shape the mission, goals and culture of the organization,” she said.

 

The majority of the coursework will be taught by full-time faculty memberson the campus at Saint Mary’s College.

 

Prudential California Realty, and affiliated companies Prudential Nevada Realty and Prudential Texas Properties are owned by owned by David Cobo and Ed Krafchow.
