Homestore CEO to speak at Real Estate Connect

Mike Long will speak at Real Estate Connect July 28-30 in San Francisco.

Homestore CEO Mike Long is on a mission: to increase the value and extend the role of Realtors in online real estate.

Long took over the helm of the Westake Village, Calif.-based company that operates the Realtor.com Web for the National Association of Realtors in January 2002. He was named to that position after an impressive career that included stints as president and CEO of The Continuum Co., CEO of Healtheon Corp. and chairman of WebMD, after its merger with Healtheon.

Long’s career includes experience in developing global markets in Europe, Asia and North America in financial services, healthcare and real estate. His experiences prior to Homestore were chronicled in part by author Michael Lewis in his best-selling book, The New New Thing.
