NRT appoints new executives

NRT Inc., the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage company, announced several executive appointments today.

Judy Reeves, who served as senior vice president of the Northeast Region for NRT during a time of major expansion there, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief administrative officer for NRT. She also has added responsibility for overseeing a local operating company in Parsippany, N.J., and another company in Harrisburg, Pa. In her new role, Reeves will oversee NRT’s mortgage services, settlement services, relocation services, acquisition rollouts, preferred alliances, and brand and Cendant relationships. Reeves oversaw NRT’s entry into the Long Island market and its expansion into The Hamptons and Palm Beach markets. She also worked to extend Burgdorff ERA’s reach into Montclair, N.J., and to assist the transition of Sotheby’s International Realty’s company-owned offices.

Maureen Passerini, president and chief operating officer for Coldwell Banker New Jersey/Rockland County, N.Y., has been promoted to senior vice president of NRT’s Eastern Seaboard Region, which includes local operating companies in the Mid-Atlantic, New Jersey/Rockland County, Pittsburgh and Atlanta regions. Coldwell Banker New Jersey/Rockland County, which Passerini has led since 1998, has 67 offices, 3,100 sales associates and in 2000 reported a sales volume of $7 billion. Passerini has also served as director of the Garden State Multiple Listing Service, which is the largest in New Jersey with over 13,000 members and about 70,000 listings.

Ronnie Laiken has been named to succeed Passerini, while Scott Gibson has been named to succeed Judy Reeves as senior vice president for the Northeast Region. That region includes NRT operations in Long Island, New York City, The Hamptons, Palm Beach, Connecticut/Westchester, Northern New England and Central New England. Gibson formerly served as president and chief operating officer for NRT operations in the Greater Los Angeles area.

NRT, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., has about 950 offices and 55,000 sales associates in the country. The company posted about $167 billion in closed sales volume in 2003.
