Real estate agents get wireless MLS

Mobilistings Wireless MLS is now compatible with handheld operating systems Palm OS, Pocket PC and BlackBerry, according to NaWire, the company that produces Mobilistings.

Mobilistings enables agents to search for property information, download photo imagery, e-mail digital color “flyers” to clients and calculate payment options from their car or at a property site.

More than 50,000 real estate agents and brokers in the Mid-Atlantic, including members of MRIS, CVRMLS and REIN MLS systems, who own or plan to purchase a next-generation wireless handheld device can now order and download the MLS application.

The product features a search mechanism that locates properties by neighborhood, street name, elementary school district, MLS identification number or ZIP code, and provides instant color photos to accompany the listings. It also includes a payment calculator to help agents provide immediate financial information, and tax record information to help in preparing a comparative market analysis.

NaWire said it plans to rollout the service to MLS systems nationwide over the next year.

NaWire develops wireless technology for the real estate and automotive retail industries.
