Looking for a Christian real estate agent?

The pitch on the Web site HisMove.com is straightforward: “Looking for a Christian real estate agent? Or a Christian mortgage broker?”

Run by the Christian Real Estate Network, the group offers a “Pledge of Performance”:

As committed believers, and as Real Estate Professionals, we agree to provide a level of service to our clients which will glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we are commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves, we give thanks for the opportunity to serve our neighbors by helping them in the process of buying and selling real estate.

It is our pledge to represent our clients as Christ would have us do, and to approach each transaction with a servant heart.

The site offers standard tools like mortgage calculators, school data and home buying information. It also sports a “Find a Church” feature and offers links to the bible and gospel readings.

Real estate is not only fragmented with one million Realtors roaming our neighborhoods, but it has also become very specialized.

Real estate agents specialize in condos, million dollar homes, waterfront property, mobile homes, tax-deferred exchanges, investment property and mountain retreats.

Increasingly, agents specialize by the people they service.  Along with Christian real estate agents, Realtors focus on seniors, minorities and gays and lesbians.

With its familiar rainbow colors, Gay Homes.com offers access to 4,000 agents. In the resource section, there are links to Alabama Butch-Femme, the Gay Yellow Pages and the Over the Rainbow Shop.

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers or NAREB caters to minority real estate agents and brokers. Formed when minority agents were excluded from traditional real estate trade groups, the national association “is dedicated to bringing together the nation’s minority professionals in the real estate industry.”
