House.com a hot real estate destination

Approximately 7,000 real estate brokers and agents have registered at House.com since its official launch in September 2003, the company said Tuesday.

The company cited statistics from comScore Media Metrix that show it was the second most visited real estate Web site with 1.15 million unique monthly visitors for June.

House.com connects consumers with qualified real estate agents. The company hopes to double the number of agents using its service over the next three months.

“Aligning consumers with the absolutely best broker for their needs is our primary goal,” said Dan Parisi, president of House.com. “With consumer demand outpacing the number of registered brokers, it is essential that we attract more qualified brokers to our site.”

Parisi, who also owns the notorious Whitehouse.com pornography Web site, launched House.com last year. He has worked in the residential real estate space for the past two decades, is a licensed real estate broker who said he began his real estate career in 1985 as a Century 21 salesperson.

“I launched House.com because the residential real estate sector is in dire need of a change,” he said.

In a previous Inman News interview, Parisi said he planned to merge House.com and Whitehouse.com into one “national real estate site.”

He is best known in the wired world as owner of the “sucks 500 network,” which contains hundreds of URLs that provide a bulletin board-like forum for Web surfers to vent their distaste for just about anything or anyone. Parisi said these Web sites are for “non-commercial free speech purposes.”
