Coldwell real estate brokerage expands in Ohio

Coldwell Banker King Thompson, a real estate brokerage in Columbus, Ohio, today announced the purchase of Residential One of Ohio Inc. The company’s eight residential offices, which do business as Prudential Residential One, Realtors, will now do business under the banner of Coldwell Banker King Thompson.

The merger will create a combined presence that includes 1,745 sales associates in 37 office locations statewide.

Michael Huntley will continue in his role as president of Coldwell Banker King Thompson. Joanne Figge, owner and president of Residential One of Ohio, and her colleague, Michael Mahon, owner and chief financial officer, will continue to hold senior management positions with the newly combined organization. 

Across Ohio, Coldwell Banker King Thompson in Columbus and its sister company, Coldwell Banker West Shell in Cincinnati, accounted for $3 billion in closed sales volume in the last 12 months, according to a company statement. Residential One of Ohio’s 170 agents were responsible for $310 million in total closed sales volume during the last year.

This acquisition also includes a single commercial real estate office of Residential One of Ohio’s affiliated company, Commercial Connections Inc., in Gahanna, Ohio. Commercial Connections will now do business as Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT. Residential One of Ohio has residential real estate offices in Gahanna, Columbus, Pickerington, Marysville, Circleville, Granville, Worthington and Newark, Ohio. These offices will now do business as Coldwell Banker King Thompson.

Coldwell Banker King Thompson comprises more than 980 sales associates and 23 offices in Ohio.
