Online rental, new-homes programs break the mold

The Inman Innovator awards will be presented July 28 at Real Estate Connect in San Francisco. A complete list of finalists in each category is available online.

Six companies will compete for the Inman Innovator Award this year in the online rentals and new-homes category. The 2004 finalists are RentalExpress.com by On-Site Manager, Archstone-Smith, Builder Consulting LLC, Builder Homesite’s new-home data feed, VaultWare by Realty Data Trust and Move-Up America.

RentalExpress.com

On-Site Manager’s RentalExpress.com is a service for landlords and management companies that automatically screens rental applicants and prepares lease agreements and other move-in paperwork. In less than two minutes, landlords receive the information they need to make decisions about prospective tenants.  

Archstone-Smith

Archstone-Smith owns and operates a portfolio of high-rise and garden apartment communities in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Southern California, the San Francisco Bay area, Chicago, Boston, Southeast Florida, Seattle and the greater New York City metropolitan area.

Builder Consulting LLC

Overland Park, Kansas-based Builder Consulting provides technology, Internet, marketing and computer-related products for the building and real estate industry. The company helps home builders and other industry professionals create and maintain Web sites, increase work efficiencies with technology, integrate marketing strategies into the Web and reduce expenses.

Builder Homesite

Builder Homesite’s new-home data feed, called NewHomeSource, through its Web site and partner sites enables new-home shoppers to use simple search tools to find the homes and communities that match their criteria. Prospective home buyers can download instant brochures on communities, and builders can market their homes and communities using descriptions, photos, maps and plans, among other things to receive leads.

VaultWare

VaultWare, developed by Realty Data Trust, is a patent pending technology and marketing service for the multifamily housing industry that enables apartment property owners to publish real-time apartment units, amenity and pricing information from their existing property management system to any Web site.

Move-Up America

Move-Up America works with home builders in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida to assure prospective new-home buyers who own existing homes are financially able to sell those homes and purchase their new-built home on schedule. The company contracts with real estate brokers who accept a discounted commission to help sell the potential new-home buyers’ existing homes.

The most innovative real estate and mortgage industry companies will be honored at Real Estate Connect, July 28-30 in San Francisco. Real Estate Connect brings together the top leaders from the real estate industry, including mortgage lenders, technology firms, industry analysts and news media.
