Home Depot leases Texas space

Hillwood has leased the 450,000-square-foot Gateway 53 building in Roanoke, Texas, to The Home Depot.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

The property was built as speculative space in 2003. The building is part of 5.9 million square feet of industrial space that has been built in the Roanoke section of AllianceTexas since 1999.

Since 2002 Bell Helicopter, Cabela’s, Coca-Cola, Radio Shack, Andersen Windows, AmerisourceBergen, Behr, Philips Electronics, Schneider Logistics, General Mills, AIG, Ford, Motorola and Hyundai have either leased, or purchased land to build, more than 4.3 million square feet in the development.

Tony Kepano and Ryan Keiser of Trammell Crow Company represented Home Depot in this transaction. Bob Alter and Tony Creme represented Hillwood in-house.

Hillwood, a Perot company, is a commercial real estate developer.
