‘Best and brightest’ convene in San Francisco

Home to the famous Golden Gate Bridge, the island prison of Alcatraz and now the center of controversial gay marriages, San Francisco is as diverse as it is beautiful. This week, the City by the Bay welcomes the famous, controversial and free thinkers of real estate to Inman News’ Real Estate Connect 2004.

Real estate, mortgage and technology innovators from across the country will gather to discuss and assess future industry developments. Highlighting the opening of the conference is Barry Diller, CEO of IAC/InterActiveCorp. Diller will deliver a keynote address Wednesday afternoon at the Palace Hotel, where the conference will take place.

InterActiveCorp engages in the business of interactivity via the Internet, television and telephone. In 2003, IAC purchased real estate and mortgage innovator LendingTree, triggering a wave of other acquisitions, including GetSmart, Domania and RealEstate.com. IAC last week added ServiceMagic to the list.
