Relaxed and knitted to the land

Dusk has nearly settled as I wind up the hill road, noticing the impressive gates that foretell mansions hidden in the trees. The parking valets in sight tell me I’ve arrived. I am about to enter the ” Woodland House” for a cocktail reception and presentation by the architect.

I walk down the ample driveway, catching glimpses of warm rectangular chunks of light through the trees. There’s a welcoming first impression, then a moment of doubt upon reaching the house. I soon see the tunnel-like effect between woods and house leading to the front door. Before entering, I stop to feel the effect of the inwardly lit structure upon the evening surroundings.
