Realty Alliance names execs for ’05

The Realty Alliance, a national invitation-only real estate networking and think-tank group, today announced its officers and directors for 2005.

Real Living President Sherry Chris will assume the role of chairwoman. Prior to her role at Real Living, Chris served as executive vice president of Royal LePage, the largest real estate firm in Canada. She has served on the board of directors of the Realty Alliance for three years and has been a member of the Realty Alliance for six years.

Peter Helie of Prudential Connecticut Realty will serve as vice chairman. Peter began his real estate sales career in 1970 and has held management positions in large residential brokerage companies in the Connecticut area. In 1998, Peter Helie became Owner and President/CEO of Prudential Connecticut Realty.

Harold E. Crye of Nashville, Tenn., brings more than three decades of real estate experience to his new position as secretary/treasurer, while serving as co-owner and chief executive officer of Crye-Leike, Realtors, one of the nation’s largest real estate companies.

Charles McKee, who has held the title of president/CEO since the The Realty Alliance’s inception in 1997, will continue to hold the position in 2005.

The Realty Alliance, a for-profit corporation, has strict financial standards that must be met as a condition of membership, and all prospective member-companies must have closed a minimum of $500 million in residential real estate sales volume for the previous calendar year. Also, prospective member-companies must have completed a minimum 5,000 transaction sides of residential real estate for the previous calendar year. The alliance has about 50 member-companies across the nation.
