Another move toward one-stop real estate

RE/MAX of California & Hawaii is the latest real estate brokerage company to team up with a mortgage company to provide mortgage services to its customers. The company recently formed an alliance with Metrocities Mortgage, a residential mortgage lender.

The move is an example of the overall movement within the real estate and mortgage industries toward a one-stop shopping experience for consumers. Many brokerage companies have started offering ancillary services such as mortgage, title and closing services through affiliated partnerships with these companies.

“When it comes to purchasing a home, studies show that customers prefer a ‘one-stop shopping’ experience and this new alliance addresses that need,” Metrocities CEO Paul Wylie said.

The new relationship adds an additional mortgage option to the list of home service alliances available to RE/MAX franchisees and their associates. Under the agreement, RE/MAX offices and associates can choose to ally themselves with Metrocities and utilize the company’s home loan staff and more than 7,000 loan products.

RE/MAX of California & Hawaii has more than 10,000 sales associates in more than 350 offices. The RE/MAX franchise network is a global real estate system operating in 52 countries.

Metrocities Mortgage was established in 1989 and is headquartered in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
