Fidelity polishes real estate listing system

Fidelity National Financial has released enhancements to its Web-based multiple listing service platform, Paragon v3.0.

Enhancements have been added to several key features in the Paragon system, including the multi-class property search, the tax module and the IDX (Internet data exchange) smart framing feature. The new capabilities added to the multi-class property search enable users to perform a single search on various class criteria, including single family, multi-family, commercial and land. Also, search criteria can now be saved specific to prospects, eliminating the need to re-enter that criteria each time a search is performed.

Pre-saved searches for prospects can also be modified and saved for use with new prospects, reducing the setup time for new searches.

The tax module is a component that enables public property record information to be automatically integrated with Paragon MLS listings, eliminating manual tax research. Upgrades to the tax module have improved the functionality of the tax auto-fill feature to allow more flexibility to how and when tax information is added to the MLS listing.

With enhancements to the tax module’s “Spreadsheet” view, which displays property and tax data, spreadsheets can now be e-mailed as attachments or inserted into the body of an e-mail. A listing count feature by status has been added to the tax module spreadsheets, providing the number of MLS listings that are associated with each tax record. Additionally, the printing capabilities of the tax module have been enhanced to include the ability to print multiple “Tax” views and reports at once.

The IDX Smart framing feature in the Paragon system is a tool that enables brokers and agents to display local MLS information via the brokers’ and agents’ Web sites using the Internet Data Exchange protocol mandated by the National Association of Realtors. This feature has improved searching capability. In addition to the ability to search by minor area such as specific neighborhoods, this feature has been expanded to include the ability to search by major area, including counties and entire metropolitan areas.

With the addition of Paragon’s new features, system users have the ability to quickly view the number of documents, such as disclosures and inspection findings, which have been uploaded to a specific MLS listing record. Also, included in the new system features is the ability to link directly from the “View/Reports” screen to the “Corrective Action” screen, which allows users to communicate incorrect MLS listing information to the MLS administrative staff. System users also can send the e-mails regarding listing corrections as hyperlinks to the MLS administration staff. Other additions include online maintenance of approved third-party databases and a direct integration with Supra Lockbox data.

Fidelity National Financial provides products and outsourced services and solutions to financial institutions and the real estate industry.
