Court Lorenzini co-founded Seattle-based DocuSign in 2003 so that business documents could be signed without ever needing to be converted to paper. Lorenzini now serves as CEO.
An experienced senior executive, Court has been the founder, president and CEO of several other venture-backed companies, including Point.com, Flatrock and Acora Growth Solutions. He has a 20-year track record of managing periods of rapid change in start-up and corporate environments.
Lorenzini earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University. He also holds graduate credentials from Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley, in business administration, manufacturing systems engineering and computer science.

Wall Street Journal, What’s News. It gives me insight into developing trends.
What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever packed in a suitcase?
A frozen rainbow trout on my way back from a fly-fishing trip in Oregon. Thankfully it’s only a 30-minute flight.
Where did you spend your last vacation?
Hawaii, with my family. We make it an annual trip with extended family. There’s nothing better than seeing all the cousins playing together.
What professional accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Design and implementation of a software development process at Cisco that helped the company accelerate from $200M to over $4B in under four years, making software excellence a strategic asset of the business.
What personal accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
My three amazing daughters.
What worries keep you awake at night?
The direction this country is headed and the mess my daughters will have to clean up. As a nation we’ve become far too divisive internally, and our foreign policy is a mess.
What was the best gift you ever received from or gave to someone else?
The birth of my children is the greatest gift I can imagine.
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Definitely a morning person. I’m usually in bed by 10 p.m.
